2008 Academy of Medicine Education Foundation Fundraiser a Huge Success

In August, the AMEF had a picture perfect day for golfers to participate in the Academy of Medicine Education Foundation’s fifth annual Marissa Rose Biddlestone Memorial golf outing. The outing took place this year at Barrington Golf Club. Foursomes competed in a shotgun start tournament that raised more than $39,000 for AMEF. The funds will be utilized for medical student scholarships, annual CME seminars and the Healthlines radio program. 2008 AMEF cholarship recipients were on hand at the event to meet sponsors and golfers alike. The 2008 AMEF scholarship recipients were invited to join the group for dinner and several were able to attend the AMEF event. The 2008 AMEF scholarship recipients were: Shelley Chang-CWRU, Amir Durrani CC Lerner, Craig Jarrett CC Lerner, Jovana Martin-CWRU, Jason Robertson CC Lerner, Rachel Roth CC Lerner, Elim Shih-NEOUCOM, and Aaron Viny-CC Lerner. Each recipient received a $5,000.00 scholarship from AMEF.
