AMA Medicare bill picks up Congressional support

The American Medical Association continues their legislative campaign with Congress by urging them to immediately stop the 5.4% across the board Medicare payment cut and to swiftly approve the recommendation of the Medicare Payment Advisory Committee (MedPAC) to replace the current Medicare update formula. As of January 30, the Medicare Physician Payment Fairness Act of 2001 is continuing to pick up support in Congress.  H.R. 3351 currently has 305 co-sponsors and S.1707 has 68 co-sponsors.
